Perhaps to mark the occasion, my boss gave me my X-mas gift today – Cards Against Humanity. It's the pessimist's version of Apples to Apples. Definitely worth a look for game night… if you don't mind losing friends

So, another year. Wow. Not even sure how that happened. And as I start this year's National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), I wonder just what the hell I did. Not bloody much from the looks of it. Well, no matter. November is the beginning of the Celtic New Year, so finishing a novel in 30 days seems like as good a start as any ;-) A dear friend of mine gave me some inspiration, so off I go. I'm sure I'll be a basketcase by the time Nov 30th rolls around :crazy:

Busiest time of the year with ear-bleeding music and fake smiles everywhere.
And nothing puts you in the spirit of giving like office X-mas games, which involve other people stealing your gift. Seriously, what sadist came up with this ever-so-fun tradition?!
At least I have Saints Row the Third to get me through the season... with its much better approach to the Ho-Ho-Hos.

Another year of work, bastards, and books.
Went to Sucker Punch this weekend (brilliant)… but it barely put a dent in my ever-growing stack of movie gift certificates (used the one from 2009, if that gives you an idea). Why people keep giving them to me, I have no freakin' clue. Just can never find the time and most of what's showing is lower than whale crap. The previews certainly didn't renew my faith in Hollywood. Every 'new' movie trailer had a number after it.
